Thinking and problem solving Skills
For this sample, I worked together with Ms. S to make a lab for my chemistry class. I used my thinking and problem solving skills to think about what experiments the class should do and what they should record. Our goal was to make sure that the students all had a chance to do something and all learned about density in a fun way. I devolped my thinking and problem solving skills through this project having to try to find the balance between the lab being informative but also fun. This was also the most difficult part and the reason that Ms. S needed my help. If I redid this, I would have improved the lab by working on it more and customizing the packet specifically for our class rather than using a template.
Which 21st Century Skills do you feel this assignment addresses, and why?
This assignment demonstrates my self-directional skills, as I put in extra hours to make a website instead of a slideshow, which came with extra work like design and connecting all the pages in a seamless way to make it as easy to view and use as possible.
What are you most proud of from this assignment, and why?
I'm proud of how well the website was able to bring together my best and favorite english assignments from this semester, making it feel like they were all just one huge project.
How did you develop and/or improve upon your 21st Century Skills with this assignment?
I improved upon my 21st Century Skills with this assignment because seeing home it came out motivated to do better on all my work, and try to do more than required so that I do work that I'm actually proud of.
What was most difficult about completing this task?
The most difficult part of this tasks was the singular smaller assignments within it because they made me write and reflect about myself and my life experiences, something I don't often do easily.
How could you improve this work?
I could have improved this project by putting more effort into the assignments that make it up, by adding more to them or by presenting the final products better.
If you could start over, what would you do different?
If could start over I probably wouldn't change anything because I already put in more time and effort than I had planned, to make a better version of the project than I would if I did this project again.
How can you apply this to future learning?
I can apply this to my future learning by making websites instead of slideshows, or doing something to make my projects better and more unique.
