Thinking & Problem Solving Skills
Which 21st Century Skill do you feel this assignment addresses, and why?
Obviously, as we all know, math uses problem solving skills. That's essentially all it is and I feel that my notes for Math 140 demonstrate it extremely well. It also not only shows my problem solving for specific problems but for figuring out how to best benefit, learn from, and study for the class.
What are you most proud of from this assignment, and why?
I'm most proud of figuring out how to take notes for math while doing assignments that can help me learn the material and remember how to do it in the future.
How did you develop and/or improve upon your 21st Century Skills with this assignment?
I developed my thinking and problem-solving skills through taking notes on this class by having to figure out how I'd learn and study the material best. It took lot's of thinking, problem solving, and even trial and error to develop a style that at least somewhat works for me now.
What was most difficult about completing this task?
The most difficult part of taking these notes was not knowing how I should take them to best learn form them.
How could you improve this work?
I could improve my notes by going back and reviewing them and reformatting them into a better format to study from and figure out how to do their correlated math problems.
If you could start over, what would you do different?
If I could start over I would started taking notes on my assignments form the start as well as reviewing and rewriting them weekly instead of having them pile up to the point where it's almost impossible to go back.
How can you apply this to future learning?
I can apply the note taking strategies that I learned from this process to my future classes and figuring out better how to prepare for them and study for them.
