Kamehameha III Movie Trailer
For this project we had to create a fake trailer about the life of a Hawaiian hero. My hero was Kamehameha III because that's the person I chose at the begging of the semester. Since then we've been learning about them and doing projects and assignments on them. This project was supposed to focus primarily on one of their life events but Kamehameha III didn't have any really interesting events in his life he was just overall influential and thusly the trailer isn't that epic.

Which 21st Century Skills do you feel this assignment addresses, and why?
This project adresses many of my 21st Century skills such as informational and interpersonal skills, aswell as communication, thinking and problem solving, and self-directional skills. I learned almost all the information there is to know about Kamehameha III, we had to create a good way to explain his life eventsin the form of a trailer, I had to work with a partner to create the trailer and we had to arrange times to shoot, and we had to make time to shoot it outside of school.
What are you most proud of from this assignment, and why?
The thing that I’m most proud of in this trailer is that I was able to make it feel like a trailer without any templates of any kind.
How did you develop and/or improve upon your 21st Century Skills with this assignment?
I devolped upon my interpersonal skills with this project because I had to work with a partner who knew nothing about the character that the trailer was about and that he was acting as. Because of this it made it harder for us to work together and had to use my problem solving skills a lot to try to find interesting scenes to shoot.
What was most difficult about completing this task?
The most difficult aspect of completing this was Kamehameha III didn't really do anything worthy of a movie or trailer for said movie and hence it was quite difficult coming up with good scenes and an overall good story for the trailer.
How could you improve this work?
I could improve this work by having a bit more resources and time to shoot more and better scenes than the ones we did.
If you could start over, what would you do different?
If I could redo this project, then I would have planned out more of the scenes before shooting and editing the soundtrack for the trailer.
How can you apply this to future learning?
I can apply the skill of being able to make a movie trailer to any future projects where I might need to make a movie or trailer.
